In the limelight 意思是引人注目或成为众人注意的目标;从前没有白色的电灯，发光的是用heating lime造成。而现在舞台上都是强烈的电力聚光灯(spot-light)去照有名的演员，因此in the limelight 与to be in the spot-light 意义相同
